Hot Tub and Spa Cleaning
Standalone hot tubs and spas attached to the pool, cleaned and balanced across Panama City and Bay County, because hot water uses up sanitizer faster than any pool.
A spa is not a small pool
Same chemistry, much harder conditions. Hot water, a few hundred gallons and several people at once change how it has to be looked after.
A hot tub holds a few hundred gallons at around a hundred degrees. At that temperature sanitizer breaks down fast, and every person who climbs in brings body oil, lotion and sweat into a very small volume of water. That is why a spa can turn cloudy, foamy or sharp smelling long before the pool beside it shows anything at all.
We clean standalone hot tubs on the patio and spas that share equipment with the pool. The spa gets its own cleaning, its own filter attention and its own water test, rather than whatever time is left at the end of a pool visit. Goodies Pool Care is one local family, and the spa gets the same care the pool does.
Standalone hot tubs
The tub on the patio, cleaned on its own terms rather than treated as an afterthought.
- Shell and waterline wiped down
- Filter pulled and cleaned
- Water tested and balanced
- Sanitizer set for hot water
- Debris cleared from the cover and surround
Spas attached to the pool
Shared equipment means the spa and the pool affect each other, so both get looked at.
- Spa brushed and netted
- Spillover and tile line cleaned
- Shared filter kept clean
- Water balanced across the whole system
- Jets and valves looked over
Cloudy, foamy or smelly water
The usual spa complaints, and nearly all of them trace back to the water and the filter.
- Foam from oils and lotions
- Cloudiness from a loaded filter
- Chlorine smell from spent sanitizer
- Scale from high calcium or pH
- Told plainly what caused it
On a schedule
A spa that gets used needs regular attention, not a rescue every few months.
- Added to your weekly pool visit
- Or looked after on its own
- Filter cleaned on the interval it needs
- Water tested on every visit
- Set around how often it gets used
Why Bay County pool owners call Goodies
Four things you can hold us to, on this job and every one after it.
Chemistry for hot water
Sanitizer behaves differently at a hundred degrees. The spa gets balanced for how it is actually used, not dosed like a miniature pool.
It is our family
A family owned and operated business, not a rotating crew. We learn your spa the same way we learn your pool.
Your day holds
Set when you start and it stays, so the spa never goes weeks without anyone looking at it.
The reclean guarantee
If you are unhappy with a clean we perform, call and we come back out at no charge. Some exclusions apply.
Hot Tub and Spa Cleaning by location
We provide hot tub and spa cleaning across every area on our weekly route.
What our customers say
Every one of these is on our Google profile, word for word, with the reviewer’s name on it.
Frequently asked questions
Common questions from Bay County pool owners.
Do you clean standalone hot tubs, or only spas attached to a pool?
Both. A standalone tub on the patio gets looked after on its own, and a spa that shares equipment with the pool gets cleaned and balanced as part of the same visit.
Why does my hot tub get cloudy or foamy?
Usually body oils, lotions and soap residue building up in a small amount of hot water, along with a filter that is loaded and sanitizer that has been used up. Cleaning the filter and getting the water back in balance clears most of it, and a regular schedule stops it coming back.
How often does a hot tub filter need cleaning?
More often than a pool filter, because a small filter does a lot of work in hot, heavily used water. A tub that gets used most evenings loads its filter far faster than one used on weekends, so the interval gets set by how yours is actually used.
Can you add my spa to my weekly pool service?
Yes. If you are already on the route, the spa can be cleaned and balanced on the same visit. If you only have a hot tub, it can be looked after on its own.
Do you repair hot tubs?
No. We clean the tub and look after the water. If a pump, jet or control panel is not working, we tell you what we are seeing so you can get the right repair.
Ready to sort out your hot tubs and spas?
Tell us about your pool and we will give you a straight price and a start date, usually the same day you call.
